Together for a safer and fairer working life

How can digital solutions help strengthen integrity and safety in working life? That was the starting point when we recently met the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet) for a good and open conversation. As the supplier of a solution used by a growing number of construction sites in Norway, it was valuable for us to gain insight into the Authority's perspectives and to share how we believe technology can support its mission in society.

The meeting confirmed what we already know: if we are to succeed in making Norwegian working life safer and fairer, we have to work together – across roles, trades and sectors.

7 priority areas for a better working life

The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority has recently published its seven main priorities for the period 2025–2029.

These are strategic and socially critical areas that everyone in working life must take seriously:

1. Preventing work-related accidents

2. Preventing musculoskeletal and psychological disorders

3. Preventing exposure to carcinogenic chemicals

4. Securing statutory pay and working conditions, especially for vulnerable workers

5. Helping consumers and clients set requirements for, and follow up on, pay and working conditions

6. Strengthening foreign workers' knowledge of their own rights and obligations

7. Reducing the capacity and intent of key threat actors

These goals set a clear direction and underline the need for better tools, documentation and control routines across industries.

How Innregistrering.no contributes
