How can digitalisation simplify everyday life on the construction site without compromising on safety and quality?
On the residential and commercial project Tolvsrød Torg, Betonmast has adopted innregistrering.no to ensure an efficient and structured start for everyone involved. The experience so far gives good indications of how digital tools can support both progress and the working environment.

At Tolvsrød in Tønsberg, construction of Tolvsrød Torg is well under way. The project, developed by Folksom and Coop Norge Eiendom, comprises two residential blocks with associated commercial space. In total, 42 apartments, a large Coop store and several retail and commercial premises on the ground floor will be built.

The shared areas play a central role in the design, including a courtyard with a pergola and roof terraces for both the residential and commercial sections.

Efficient onboarding in a complex building project: 180 workers trained through a digital solution
In a project with many players and a high level of activity, it has been important to ensure smooth and efficient training of new workers. To achieve this, innregistrering.no was put to use from October 2024. The solution has so far handled 180 registrations, spread across 37 different subcontractors. More workers will join the project until handover in 2026.

Experience from the site shows that the system is perceived as user-friendly and efficient, both by project management and by those being registered. According to project engineer Sondre Fristad Aas, it is enough to send a link to the subcontractors for them to complete the registration themselves. Videos with project-specific training, parking and safety information are available in five languages, making it easier to reach a workforce made up of several nationalities.

One of the clearest benefits is the time saved for site management. Because much of the information is available digitally in advance, the need for manual training is reduced. According to an estimate made by the project, around ten minutes of work is saved per onboarding, which quickly adds up to many working hours in total.

The project is led by a team of three site managers, a design manager and a project engineer, in addition to the project manager. The shell of the building is now complete, and the external walls are nearing completion. The work is following the progress plan, with handover scheduled for June 2026.

The experience from Tolvsrød Torg clearly shows how digital registration can make a noticeable difference in large and complex building projects. By using innregistrering.no, the Betonmast project team has managed to reduce manual work, improve the flow of information and ensure that everyone entering the construction site is well informed, regardless of language or background.

What used to require close follow-up and time-consuming introductions is now largely automated and available digitally. This has not only delivered clear time savings for site management, but has also strengthened HSE work and increased the inclusion of foreign workers.

Tolvsrød Torg is a good example of how digital solutions can be anchored in practical work – not as an add-on, but as an integral part of the building process.
